RURAL CHAGEMAKERS
WITH ALEX LOWERY
FOR THE RURAL DREAMERS, DOERS, AND DIFFERENCE-MAKERS
Are you a rural entrepreneur trying to build a business that matters — even when resources are limited and tradition says, “that’s not how we do things”? Do you dream of revitalizing your community, launching something bold, or making an impact from the middle of nowhere?
Welcome to the Rural Changemakers Podcast.
Whether you're a business owner, community leader, creative dreamer, or simply someone tired of hearing “that’s the way we’ve always done it,” this is your go-to space for real talk and real strategies.
Hosted by Alex Lowery — brand strategist, entrepreneur, and small-town Mississippi girl — the show dives into rural entrepreneurship, community development, marketing, mindset, and the messy, meaningful path of building something new where resources are few and innovation is everything.
Each episode is packed with inspiring stories, practical tools, and honest conversations designed to help you grow your business, your brand, and your belief in what’s possible — right where you are.

Rural Changemakers was founded by Alex Lowery, a brand strategist, entrepreneur, and small-town girl at heart.
Alex spent over a decade working in corporate communications before making the leap into full-time entrepreneurship. While still working her 9-to-5, she co-founded Middle of the Field Media, a full-service marketing and brand agency. Not long after, she left the corporate world behind and began building multiple businesses of her own — combining her experience in strategy and storytelling with her love for small-town life and community impact.
She created Rural Changemakers as the platform she wished existed when she started: a space where rural entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders can access practical resources, relatable stories, and real strategies for building a business and a life that matters, right where they are.
Alex brings a unique blend of brand strategy expertise, entrepreneurial grit, and deep roots in rural life. Whether she’s developing content, hosting the podcast, or chasing kids between creative projects, everything she does is grounded in one belief:
Big dreams and small towns absolutely belong together.
